Process Change Procedure
Process
Change Procedure gives opportunity for employees to participate in development
of processes that affect them. When a process is changed all people who are
affected by the change should have an opportunity to be part of the decision.
If
you want to make a change it is your responsibility to work with the parties it
affects by phone, email or a meeting until it has been decided to make a new
process or to change an existing process or to leave the process at it is.
If a decision
has been made to make a change or
create a new process the proposal should be entered in the Process Change
Notification database. A database request should
not be made until the above process is complete. The notification will give
everyone an opportunity to know about the change. Often a change may affect
someone without us knowing that it would.
From
time to time someone reading the change may contact you and request a revision.
If those
affected by the change decide to make a revision you may go back to the
original Process Change Notification and add the revision.
If a decision cannot be
reached
the decision will be referred to the AC’s and OC’s with that area of
responsibility. For education staff it should be referred to the Education Coordinator.
Database
changes will not be made unless the
above procedure is followed and a Process Procedure Notification has been
completed. The only exception is if
it is clear it does not affect anyone else.
When
the above procedure has been followed completely all processes should be
entered in the tension chart.
Here's how it works.
1.
After decision to make a change has been made using the Process Procedure
Change Process outlined above.
2.
Enter the change in the Process Change Notification Database.
Here’s how
Please use this Process Change Notice even if you think it doesn’t affect anyone else. Each person will have an opportunity to decide for themselves if it affects their area.
